Boom Cafe & Dining was established in 2022 by two Korean brothers with no hospitality experience — just a passion for food and a desire to share the flavours they grew up eating.
Growing up with Korean food, we were surrounded by bold, comforting flavours, from the heat of gochujang to the tang of kimchi and the richness of Korean marinades. When we opened Boom, we wanted to find a way to bring those flavours into the Australian café culture we loved.
So we started experimenting.
We took familiar brunch dishes and looked at them differently — combining Korean and Asian ingredients, flavours and techniques with the food people know and love.
The result is a menu that doesn't quite fit into one category. It's Korean-inspired, Australian brunch with a Boom twist.
Over the years, we've served the Eastwood community dishes like our Kimchi Carbonara, Bulgogi Wrap and Gochujang Mayo, while developing a drinks menu inspired by the flavours we grew up with too — from matcha and unique yuzu teas to Asian-inspired teas and specialty coffee.
What started as two brothers trying something completely new has grown into a place where we can share our culture, creativity and love for food with the community.
We're still experimenting. We're still creating. And we're still finding new ways to bring the flavours we grew up with to the table.
